Woodbury Zoning Commission Corrects Its Own Misstep Involving Former Antiques Barn
The commission acted on a matter before there was a formal application.

WOODBURY, CT — Having first approved a motion to allow retail uses in a barn on Main Street North, the Woodbury Zoning Commission recently had to reverse course to rescind the earlier vote.
An antiques store once occupied the barn, located at 858 Main St. North in Woodbury, but that business is gone, and now the current owner of the property is curious what type of business can occupy the structure, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
But while the owner inquired about potential future uses, they had not formally applied to the commission about a specific use. So the commission had to vote to rescind its approval of retail uses in the barn, a move based on a recommendation by Town Attorney Tom Kaelin.
