Matthew Albino Receives Creativity Grant at Hamilton College

CLINTON, NY-- Matthew Albino, of Woodbury (06798), has been awarded a grant from The Steven Daniel Smallen Memorial Fund at Hamilton College. The Fund is designed to encourage creativity among Hamilton students by providing funds for projects displaying originality, expressiveness, and imagination.

Albino will use the award for an independent study project examining the intersections of queerness, comedy, and theater. He will employ stand-up comedy, improv, and multi-media performance in a comedic solo performance series comprised of 10-minute original shows and culminating with a half-hour final performance.

Albino, a senior majoring in creative writing, is a graduate of Nonnewaug High School.
