• Take a look inside the $600K+ homes being built north of Middletown (delawareonline.com) — A major 662-home Monarch development is rising just north of Middletown, offering customizable Schell Brothers houses starting around $615,000 within the Appoquinimink School District. Residents will get a pool, splash pad, pickleball courts, fitness center and more, plus easy access to Routes 1, 13, 301 and 896, in exchange for a $200 monthly HOA fee.
• Cell tower approved near Middletown to end years of spotty service (delawareonline.com) — A long-awaited cell tower just north of Middletown has been approved, promising to finally fix years of spotty service for southern New Castle County residents. The 156-foot, tree-style tower on Back Creek Drive will host Verizon equipment and is part of a federally backed effort to eliminate local cellular dead zones despite mixed neighborhood reactions.
• DBT40 Honoree: Kate Huffman (delawarebusinesstimes.com) — A former Middletown High School senior capstone coordinator, Kate Huffman is being recognized for her growing impact as director of learning and engagement at the Biggs Museum in Dover. She's boosted museum attendance, expanded programs, and built partnerships with Delaware schools and organizations while staying deeply involved in youth sports, arts education, and community service.
