2026 Delaware Secretary of Education Scholars

Eight exceptional students from the Class of 2026 have been recognized as 2026 Delaware Secretary of Education Scholars.

Each year, Delaware’s Secretary of Education honors select students from the current graduating class for their exemplary work ethic, dedication, and accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. These Secretary of Education Scholars possess qualities critical to making a significant difference in their own lives and in the lives of others.

We are proud to announce the outstanding students from Christina School District who have been selected as the 2026 Secretary's Scholars. Please join us in congratulating these exceptional individuals on their well-deserved recognition!

Secretary of Education Cindy Marten celebrated the achievements of our Christina students, along with other top students from across the state, at the annual Secretary of Education Scholars banquet in Dover. The students were joined by their families, district administrators, principals, and prominent education and political leaders to celebrate their achievements. The number of scholars from each school is based on enrollment, and students are selected by their principals based on both their academic records and community service.

The scholars are also being recognized on the DDOE Awards & Recognition Website to showcase their outstanding achievements. The website includes photographs, principal nomination statements, and student narrative statements as submitted by the schools.
