40+ Student Musicians Unite for the 2nd Annual Christina School District Middle School Orchestra Concert

Christina School District students and families came together at Gauger-Cobbs Middle School to celebrate the joy of music!

Christina School District students and families came together at Gauger-Cobbs Middle School to celebrate the joy of music in our District for the 2nd Annual District Middle School Orchestra Concert on Saturday, January 17.

The concert showcased nearly 40 talented students from all CSD middle school orchestras—Bayard, Gauger-Cobbs, Kirk, Middle School Honors Academy, Pritchett, and Shue-Medill—along with five dedicated student volunteers from Christiana High School and Newark High School orchestras. Together, this combined ensemble performed an impressive program:

  • In Memory of Goodbye by Matt Arnett
  • Dark Currents - by Randall D. Standridge
  • Bringing to Light - by R. Christopher Teichler
  • Snow Day - by Katie O'Hara LaBrie

Congratulations to our orchestra directors—Andrew Hetzler, Emma Hodesblatt, Mary Muffley, and Noah Riek—and their talented orchestra students on a job well done!
