• Wilmington homicide may be linked to previous road rage incident, New Castle County police say (6abc.com) — New Castle County police say a deadly shooting on South Cleveland Avenue in Wilmington may have stemmed from a traffic altercation last month. Officers arrested 31-year-old Hector Sanchez on Sunday in connection with the killing of 32-year-old Donald Nave, after identifying a suspect vehicle through license plate reader technology. The investigation into the road-rage link is still ongoing.
   

• Inaugural Catholic Men's Conference to Focus on Faith, Family and Leadership (delawarelive.com) — Catholic and other interested men in Wilmington can attend a new all-day Catholic Men of Delmarva conference at Saint Mark's High School on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. The event features national speakers, worship, reconciliation, vocational talks, exhibits, and closing Mass with Bishop William Koenig, aiming to strengthen men's faith, families, and leadership across Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore.
   

• Turning Interaction Design Skills Into Career Experience (lvc.edu) — A Lebanon Valley College student turned his interaction design studies into a summer internship with engineering firm Sargent & Lundy in Wilmington, where he helped design electrical substations in 3D. With coaching from his college's career center, he impressed interviewers enough to earn an ongoing part-time role while he finishes school, blending engineering, design, and user-focused thinking.
