Christina Educators Attend BOND Academy at Bowie State University

Christina School Board President Donald Patton and a team of educators from the Christina School District attended the BOND ACADEMY 2025.

In April, Christina School Board President Donald Patton and a team of educators from the Christina School District attended the BOND ACADEMY 2025. The Academy featured powerful presentations and discussions on instructional strategies, career advancement, community building, cultural proficiency, and social emotional learning, primarily through the lens of male educators of color. Practitioners at every level of education (teachers, professors, counselors, para-educators, administrators, central office staff, and student teachers) attended.

The Building Our Network of Diversity (BOND) Project is committed to advancing efforts to recruit, develop, support, and retain male educators of color. The BOND Project demonstrates its commitment through professional enrichment, mentoring, scholarship, and fellowship activities for educators across the country.
