October is Cyber Security Awareness Month — a perfect time for students, families, and staff to sharpen our online safety skills and stay protected in today’s digital world. Whether you’re completing homework, connecting with friends and family, or completing work tasks, practicing good cyber habits is essential.
Students: Use strong, unique passwords for your accounts and never share them with friends. Be cautious about clicking on links or downloading files from unknown sources. Remember, if something feels suspicious, it probably is! Always keep your devices updated with the latest security patches.
Families: Talk openly with your children about online safety. Set up parental controls and encourage them to think critically about what they share on social media. Stay informed about the latest scams targeting families and report anything unusual.

Finally, a big thank you to our dedicated technology team, data team, and our tech coordinators who tirelessly work behind the scenes to keep our systems secure and running smoothly. Their expertise and commitment help create a safer digital environment for all of us at Christina School District.
