#ChristinaCelebrates Juneteenth!

Today we honor Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of freedom and hope.

(Christina School District | Public Information Office)

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of freedom and hope. On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were finally told they were free. This day marks the official end of slavery in the United States and is often called "America's second Independence Day." Juneteenth honors the strength, resilience, and rich culture of African Americans. It’s a time to reflect on the past and celebrate the progress made toward equality. #ChristinaCelebrates #Juneteenth
