Delaware Technical Community College: Delaware Tech Alumnus Establishes Scholarship

When Brett Cherry, a graduate of Delaware Tech's Electronics Engineering Technology program, and his wife Vicki, learned of the opportunity to establish a scholarship at Delaware Tech, they were intrigued. They had made a one-time donation to that College, but had been considering the idea of creating a scholarship for a few years, and were glad to hear that it was an easy process.

They established the Cherry Perseverance Endowed Scholarship in March, 2021 and hope to help students who can fill the region's need for a trained workforce, especially in the areas of electronics engineering. Mr. Cherry works at a manufacturing firm in Maryland, and would like to assist a student who may follow in his career pathway.

Supporting Delaware Tech ensures that post-secondary education, job training and enrichment will be available to future generations of students.
