DSD’s 8th Annual 5K for Language Access - Nov 1
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun community event, stop by and enjoy music, refreshments, and more!

Delaware School for the Deaf (DSD) is hosting its 8th Annual 5K for Language Access this Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun community event, enjoy music, refreshments, and a photo opportunity with the Blue Hawk mascot. Participants will also have the chance to win prizes or earn a race medal in their age group.
DSD is breaking down the myth that families must choose just one language for their children with hearing differences by creating a nurturing, inclusive space where deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind students across Delaware thrive in both American Sign Language and English.
Funds raised from the 5K will support early language learning, educational materials, student advocacy programs, and tools that ensure equal access to communication. These resources are essential to helping Deaf and Hard of Hearing students reach their full potential.
