Enhancing Safety at Christina Sports Events: New Safety Screening Technology Beginning Fall 2025

In an ongoing commitment to enhance safety and security, Christina School District will implement new safety screening technology.

(Christina School District | Public information Office)

In an ongoing effort to enhance safety and security, the Christina School District is introducing safety screening technology at entrances for sport events starting July 2025. These state-of-the-art gates will require all attendees to walk through sensors designed to detect heavy metal objects and objects shaped like weapons. This advanced scanning system will help ensure a safer environment for students, staff, families, and community members by preventing dangerous items from entering the venues. In addition to sport events, these gates may be used as necessary for a variety of gatherings, including meetings, events, and other activities, to maintain consistent safety standards.

The Christina School District is committed to protecting its community while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at all events and meetings. We appreciate your cooperation and support as we implement these important measures. Together, we can create a safer space where everyone can participate with peace of mind. Please plan to arrive a little earlier to accommodate the new security process. Thank you for helping us keep our schools safe!
