Goldey-Beacom Volleyball Falls, 3-0, at Nyack

Goldey-Beacom’s trip to upstate New York ended with a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (20-25, 22-25, 23-25) at Nyack in Nyack, NY.

The match on paper was a relatively even one with Nyack only holding a 35-34 kills edge and GBC getting a .158-.154 advantage in hitting percentage. The Warriors in the third set gained the edge with an 11-7 kills lead.

Senior Jada Canteen (Newark, DE) ended with 10 kills, freshman Breanne Haley (Elkton, MD) had eight and 11 digs, fellow freshman Morgan Andrews (Wilmington, DE) notched 14 digs and junior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) amassed 16 assists for the Lightning (7-12, 6-5 CACC).

Alexus Winters had 10 kills and 19 digs, Kaitlyn Massey recorded 18 assists and British Dawson added 15 digs for Nyack (9-16, 7-4).

Goldey-Beacom is home Tuesday against Jefferson for a 7:00 pm match.
