Jones Elementary Earns Leader in Me “Lighthouse” Status
Jones Elementary School has proudly earned Lighthouse status in the Leader in Me program!
Jones Elementary School has proudly earned Lighthouse status in the Leader in Me program! Jones is one of only a few schools in Delaware to receive this honor — and the only Lighthouse School in the Christina School District! As a Lighthouse School, they model excellence in leadership, culture, and academic growth for others to follow.
To celebrate this major achievement, Jones recently held an inspiring “Leadership Day” to honor the dedication and hard work of all its students and staff. This half-day, student-led event began with an energetic assembly that showcased the leadership skills of the students. The program featured exciting performances by the Jones cheerleaders, the school band, and the school’s theatre group, who are preparing to present “The Lion King: The Musical” on May 28 at Christiana High School. After the assembly, students led visitors on engaging tours of the school, participated in insightful panel discussions, and conducted interactive lessons and workshops—demonstrating firsthand how leadership development not only empowers individual students but also fosters a positive culture throughout the entire Jones community.
Congratulations, Jones Elementary School, on this incredible achievement!
