Rockland Place Certified as a Great Place to Work®

Great Place to Work Institute has honored Rockland Place, a Watermark Retirement Community, with certification as a Great Place to Work. Great Place to Work recognizes outstanding workplace cultures and produces the annual Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work For®" among its other lists. For consideration on the Great Place to Work list, more than 3,000 Watermark associates at locations across the United States completed surveys.

Through these surveys, Great Place to Work, an independent research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of associates’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.

Specifically at Rockland Place, 80 percent of the associates surveyed rated the community as an overall great place to work. Across all categories measured, the Rockland Place associates marked questions related to their sense of pride and camaraderie highest. In fact, 92 percent said that they feel they make a difference through their work, and 91 percent said that their work has special meaning and that it is not “just a job.”

“These results are not surprising, because I see how our associates engage not only with our residents, but also with one another to make this a true community,” said Rockland Place Executive Director Brenda Negron. “They bring an energy and a passion to their work that help us make this an innovative and thriving place. I am proud of them, and I certainly am counted among the associates who indicated in the survey that they are proud to work here.”
