Southbound Walnut Street Two-Week Closure Cancelled

Temporary lane closure no longer needed; City water main installation team will use workaround

The planned two-week closure beginning Monday of a southbound lane of South Walnut Street, which was announced earlier this week, has been cancelled.

State and City officials have developed a workaround so that the installation of a city water main can proceed without the need for a street closure. Good news for motorists!
