Freshman Duo Push Women's Soccer to Season-Ending 2-0 Win over James Madison

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware women’s soccer team ended its season in style Sunday afternoon, as the Blue Hens turned in a dominant 2-0 victory Sunday afternoon at Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium.

On Sunday, Delaware (6-10-2, 3-6 CAA) and James Madison (9-9, 4-5 CAA) played a scoreless first half with the Hens having the advantage in play and shots, as the Blue Hens outshot the Dukes 8-5 in the opening half. Following the halftime break, the Blue Hens continued to be the aggressors. In the 60th-minute, the Blue Hens took the lead for good when senior Andrea Gunderson sent a perfect corner kick to the near post that Olivia Schuck was able to slip past Hannah McShea. The header goal was Schuck’s third of the season.
