Vijayasree Gaddipati of Glasgow High was recently named Christina School District's 2026-2027 Educational Support Professional of the Year!

Vijayasree Gaddipati of Glasgow High School, who was recently named the 2026-2027 Child Nutrition Services Employee Champion of the Year, received a wonderful surprise this morning when Superintendent Dr. Deirdra Joyner honored her as the District’s 2026-2027 Educational Support Professional of the Year.
Vijayasree’s dedication to student success shines through her exceptional work, especially with the REACH program. One of her nominators praised her exceptional ability to connect with REACH students on a personal level: “She takes the time to know each REACH student by name, building meaningful connections that make students feel seen, valued, and comfortable. Ms. Gaddipati demonstrates remarkable patience and understanding, providing thoughtful assistance to students with disabilities while remaining attentive to their individual needs. What makes her especially exceptional is her ability to strike the perfect balance between helping when necessary and encouraging independence, empowering students to grow in confidence and self-sufficiency.”
The ESPOY Award honors classified school employees who demonstrate passion, dedication, and a meaningful impact in their roles. Eligible employee groups include Child Nutrition Services, Custodial/Maintenance, Paraprofessional, Secretarial, Technology, and Transportation. To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience as an educational support professional (experience may be accumulated across different districts, schools, or positions), be a current district employee, and continue serving in an educational support professional role during the award year.

Vijayasree will represent Christina in the State of Delaware's Educational Support Professional of the Year Program, where only one person is chosen each year. Congratulations to Vijayasree on receiving this prestigious honor, and a heartfelt congratulations to all of our nominated staff members.
