Wilmington Government Offices Will Be Closed On November 3

Mayor Purzycki today encouraged citizens to exercise their right to vote on Tuesday. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Wilmington City government offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in observance of Election Day. As a result, the Department of Public Works’ Sanitation Division will collect trash on a modified holiday schedule:

  • Monday, November 2: East of I-95 trash collection
  • Tuesday, November 3: No trash collection
  • Wednesday, November 4: West of I-95 trash collection

Collection of recyclables will continue as regularly scheduled on Thursday, November 5 for areas east of I-95, and on Friday, November 6 for areas west of I-95.
