• Pilot tasked with finding Flight 93 before it made its way to DC (mypanhandle.com) — A former F-16 pilot based near Washington is reflecting on her 9/11 mission to intercept United Flight 93 before it could reach the U.S. Capitol. She describes scrambling from Andrews Air Force Base to defend the nation’s capital, prepared for a suicide mission because her jet carried no missiles. Ultimately, passengers brought the plane down in Pennsylvania before it reached DC.
