WASHINGTON, DC — A 21-year-old man was killed and three other men were wounded in a Friday shooting in Northeast D.C., according to police.
Officers responded to the 6200 block of Dix Street Northeast around 1:40 p.m. and found four men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
One victim was unconscious and not breathing, while the others were conscious and breathing, police said.
DC Fire and EMS took three of the victims to a hospital. The fourth victim, later identified as Cortes Lilly of Northwest D.C., was flown to a hospital, where he died despite efforts to save him, police said.
Police did not release information about what led to the shooting or identify a suspect.
