Man Wanted For Attempted Sexual Assault In Northwest DC: Police

Police are searching for a man who pushed a woman to the ground and grabbed her with the intent to sexually assault her on T Street.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are searching for a man wanted for an alleged attempted sexual assault of a woman walking in Northwest Washington last week.

At about 2:10 a.m. May 16, the adult female was walking in the 1800 block of T St., NW., when an unknown man approached her, pushed her to the ground and grabbed her with the intent to sexually assault her, police said.

The man was last seen fleeing on foot eastbound towards 17th St., NW. Police describe the suspect as an adult male, black with a medium to dark complexion, an average build and average height. He was wearing dark colored clothing with a dark colored bandana covering the lower portion of his face. The suspect was also described as having a deep voice, police said.
