TAMPA, FL — Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant chain Little Greek Fresh Grill is planning a significant expansion in South Florida after signing a development agreement that could bring up to 30 new locations to the Miami and Fort Lauderdale markets over the next decade.
The Tampa-based franchise announced the agreement this week as part of a broader growth strategy aimed at increasing its footprint across Florida, where the company currently operates 35 restaurants.
The brand said it is targeting 100 locations in the Sunshine State as it continues to expand.
Bryan St. George, chief operating officer and vice president of operations for Little Greek, said the company believes the South Florida market is a natural fit for the brand.
"We're confident Little Greek will be a strong fit for the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale community because guests in Florida already love fresh, high-quality food served with genuine hospitality," St. George said.
The expansion announcement comes shortly after the company reopened its location at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The restaurant resumed operations April 6 following a complete rebuild after Hurricane Milton damaged the venue in 2024.
Company officials described the Tropicana Field reopening as a milestone demonstrating the brand's resilience and commitment to serving Florida communities.
Little Greek also recently expanded its presence in the Tampa market through operations at Benchmark International Arena, serving customers attending sporting events and concerts.
Company leaders said those efforts could pave the way for future expansion into similar venues across the state.
Founded more than two decades ago, Little Greek launched its franchise program in 2011 and has grown to 50 locations across six states.
The company says approximately 80% of its restaurants are operated by franchise partners.
The popular chain specializes in Mediterranean-inspired dishes made to order and says its menu emphasizes fresh ingredients, traditional recipes and generous portions.
Little Greek estimates startup costs for new franchisees generally range from $150,000 to $350,000, depending on location and build-out requirements.
