FL's Best Private Companies Ranked: See Who Made TIME's List

TAMPA — Florida is home to more than two dozen of the nation's top private companies, according to TIME's inaugural ranking of America's Best Private Companies 2026.

Medical technology giant Arthrex, grocery chain Publix and software firm Cloud Software Group were among the companies leading the Sunshine State's entries.

The ranking, produced by TIME in partnership with Statista, recognizes the top 500 privately held U.S. companies based on employee satisfaction and overall company impact.

Researchers evaluated businesses using large-scale employee survey data, recommendations from workers and broader measures of company performance to produce an overall score out of 100.

Naples-based Arthrex was Florida's highest-ranked company, placing No. 4 nationally with a score of 93.90.

The orthopedic medical device manufacturer was followed by Publix Super Markets, headquartered in Lakeland, which ranked No. 9 with a score of 93.25.

Among the state's strongest-performing sectors were hospitality companies such as Miller's Ale House, Hard Rock International, Pollo Tropical and Westgate Resorts, as well as major professional services firms including Morgan & Morgan, Holland & Knight and Akerman.
