WILTON MANORS, FL — Residents at an assisted living facility in Broward County are being evacuated after having been without power since Hurricane Irma.
The Williamsburg Landing assisted living facility was using generators to turn on portable air conditioning units in sections of the building, Wilton Manors City Manager Leigh Ann Henderson told The Associated Press on Thursday. The residents are being moved to two facilities across the street that have electricity.
All three facilities are owned by Manor Oaks. Williamsburg is the last assisted living facility in the city that doesn't have power.
