Miami Dade College's (MDC) Homestead Campus will celebrate the opening of its new Student Life Center as part of its I AM MDC celebration, featuring a ribbon cutting and tours of the newly renovated space. The new center will serve as a central hub for students to gather, connect and engage with campus life.
The campus's "Celebration on the Plaza" will also bring a carnival-like atmosphere to Homestead Campus with a mechanical shark ride, games hosted by student clubs, a photo booth, popcorn station, food trucks, live DJ and more.
The event is part of the I AM MDC Celebrations, Miami Dade College's annual event highlighting 66 years of changing lives through education. The initiative raises funds to support scholarships, academic programs and student success initiatives, helping create opportunities for current and future MDC students.
The event will be held at Miami Dade College Homestead Campus, College Terrace at Building A (500 College Terrace, Homestead, FL 33030) and end at 1 p.m.
