Chesterbrook Academy Preschools Donate to Local Food Banks

Students from three schools partnered to collect over 400 food items and $2,000 for Feeding South Florida and Palm Beach County Food Bank

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in Cooper City, Palm Beach Gardens and Pembroke Pines recently partnered to host a donation drive for Feeding South Florida’s COVID-19 Response Fund and Palm Beach County Food Bank. Through their efforts, students collected more than 400 food items and $2,000 for local families in need. The food and money donated will allow the organizations to continue serving the community during this rapidly evolving and unprecedented time of increased need. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others.

Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.

Palm Beach County Food Bank’s mission is to alleviate hunger in Palm Beach County by strengthening the local hunger relief system and being a strong partner to other stakeholders and organizations that join them in addressing the issues of hunger and food insecurity in their community.
