Hollywood police discovered a paw sticking out of a blue suitcase and found "Ollie."

HOLLYWOOD, FL — A pit bull was found alive but stuffed inside a suitcase and badly abused on Tuesday. Hollywood police came across the animal shortly after 1 a.m. when officers noticed the dog's paw sticking out of a blue suitcase behind an abandoned building. Officers have named the dog "Ollie."
Miranda Grossman of the Hollywood Police Department said that Ollie was suffering from multiple stab wounds to its head and body. The abandoned building was in the 1900 block of Lee Street. Ollie was taken to VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital where he received care by veterinarian Nicole Patterson. She was moved by the animal's personality.

"He's happy. He's still wagging his tail despite having all these terrible wounds," she told Local 10 News. "It breaks your heart, but I'm happy that we're here to help him and hopefully get him feeling better."
Grossman said that Grateful Paws Dog & Cat Rescue is looking for a foster home for Ollie and that a GoFundMe page has also been set up to pay for his vet bills.
Ollie does not have a chip and was wearing a collar without a tag.
