M-DCPS Announces Two Additional Sites Participating In USDA's After-School Meals Service

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) currently provides the 'Afterschool' Meals
Program, a sub-component of the Child Care Food Program under the U.S.
Department of Agriculture, in more than 300 schools.

Starting March 1st, two schools are being added to the program: Highland
Oaks Middle School, located at 2375 N.E. 203rd St., Miami, FL 33180 and Jan Mann Educational Center, located at 16101 N.W. 44th Ct., Miami Gardens, FL 33054.

The Afterschool Meals Program ensures that students participating in regularly scheduled after-school educational/enrichment activities or Saturday Academy receive curbside meals for the nutrition they need to learn and grow.

These meals meet all USDA requirements, include fresh fruits and vegetables and
are available to students at no separate charge. For specific details, please contact each school directly.

New programs that start at any time during the 2020-21 school year may request after-school meals for students enrolled in their program by contacting the M-DCPS Department of Food and Nutrition.
