Eerie Photos Lead to Arrest In ATM Murder

North Miami Beach police arrested a 17-year-old after releasing eerie photos of the suspect brandishing a gun in a skeleton hoodie.

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL — North Miami Beach police announced the arrest of a 17-year-old boy in Wednesday's ATM slaying . The arrest came hours after releasing bank surveillance images of the killer dressed in an eerie skeleton hoodie. The shooting occurred outside the Bank of America at 1199 NE 163 Street.

Patch is withholding the suspect's name because he is a juvenile.

North Miami Beach police said the killer was wearing an Ecko Unlimited HARLEQUIN OF HATE hooded sweatshirt. Police believe the victim was selected at random. A relative of the victim witnessed the slaying from a nearby vehicle.

"In this case you can't even begin to explain or express the amount of sympathy and hurt," Capt. Juan Pinillos of the North Miami Beach Police Department told reporters earlier on Thursday.
