The Sagemont School in Weston Celebrates Earth Day with Gardening

Students recognized Earth Day by planting herbs and flowers in their school garden

On April 22, students at The Sagemont School in Weston celebrated Earth Day by planting in gardens around their schoolyard. Students from the lower school, ranging from preschool to 5th grade, worked with students from the upper school’s environmental club to plant herbs, impatiens and other plants that attract butterflies. Throughout the spring, students will continue to care for the plants as they grow. The Sagemont School teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
