The Sagemont School in Weston Donates More Than $320 to UNICEF

Students from the Sagemont Student Council and the National Elementary Honor Society worked together to collect donations for the nonprofit

Student Council and National Elementary Honor Society students at The Sagemont School in Weston recently donated more than $320 to UNICEF. To raise money for the nonprofit organization, students collected donations from classmates, teachers and family members using “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF” collection boxes. Their donation will provide children in need around the world with safe water, therapeutic food to help malnourishment, vaccinations and protection from malaria. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in need.

UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, to defend their rights and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.
