Students at Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool in Cooper City Hold Farewell Celebration for Chicks They Raised
Preschoolers bid adieu to 12 chicks they raised with a parade and other festivities before the chicks went to their new homes at local farms
On March 31, students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Cooper City held a farewell party for 12 chicks they raised at their school. The chicks arrived at Chesterbrook Academy at the beginning of March as eggs, and students observed them hatch and grow throughout the month. During the event, students celebrated the time they spent with the chicks by participating in arts and crafts, games, music and photos, as well as performing the “Chicken Dance.” Students also wrote letters to send with the chicks to their new homes at two local farms owned by Chesterbrook Academy families. Students were dressed for the occasion in farm attire and chick headbands and paraded around their school with the chicks in tow.
