• Parent charged with battery on Escambia County school bus driver (weartv.com) — A Bellview Middle School parent is facing a felony battery charge after allegedly boarding an Escambia County school bus and dousing the driver with water following a missed morning pickup involving her child. District transportation officials say the driver couldn't see the Bellview student in a blind spot and emphasize that unauthorized adults are prohibited from entering buses, while praising the longtime driver's dedication to her students.
