TAMPA, FL – Tampa Police are investigating the shooting of a 14-year-old boy Wednesday, June 20. Police were called to 3005 E. Cayuga St. in East Tampa just before midnight and found De'Nico Keith Thomas of 3212 E. Curtis St., Tampa, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the left side of his abdomen. He was transported by Tampa Fire Rescue to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition. Witnesses told police the gunshot came from a white or light-colored sedan, possibly a Lexus. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tampa Police at (813) 231-6130.
