1st Gerber Baby Meets Newest Gerber Baby

SUN CITY CENTER, FL -- The newest Gerber baby had a chance to pose for a photo with the first Gerber baby, Sun City Center resident Ann Turner Cook.
Cook, now 92, was just 4 months old when a family friend made a charcoal sketch of her in 1927. The sketch was submitted to Gerber's call for baby food advertisements. And for decades, Cook's bright-eyed, smiling face adorned jars of baby food.
Last week Cook got the chance to meet Gerber's newest spokesbaby, Lucas Warren, age 1. Lucas is the first Gerber baby to have Down syndrome. A Gerber spokesman said the Warren family had been vacationing in Florida and asked to meet with Cook.

Cook's grandson, Chris Colin, posted the photo on Twitter.
My grandmother was the Gerber baby. It was a funny bit of trivia, never made her rich or got us free strained peas or anything. But last week she got to meet the company's newest spokesbaby, named Lucas. Pretty pretttty cute. pic.twitter.com/u7ddWaM1Ed
