2 Bay Area Towns Named Among the State's Most Boring

With its beaches, theme parks, raceways and theaters, Florida has a long list of exciting places to live. But, according to the real estate website Movoto.com, it also has its share of communities that are yawners.

Riverview and Pinellas Park are among the Top 10 most boring places in the Sunshine State to call home, according to the site’s recent survey. The folks at Movoto looked at such things as nightlife, live music venues, outdoor activities, arts and entertainment, restaurants and population to come up with its rankings.

While Poinciana took the No. 1 spot, Riverview came in fourth and Pinellas Park 10th. The site’s authors say Riverview is a great place to live and might be the state’s most exciting “if you happen to be a bird or a squirrel.”

In regard to Pinellas Park, the authors gave it points for its Country in the Park festival, but not much else.

“We guess the best think you can say about Pinellas Park is that it is at least the most exciting of the most boring places in Florida.”
