Wimauma​ Woman Arrested In 2 Shooting Deaths At Ruskin Home: Cops

The Medical Examiner's office determined both victims died of gunshot wounds

RUSKIN, FL -- Hillsborough sheriff's detectives have arrested a 32-year-old woman in the deaths of two people in a Ruskin home on Jan. 24. Authorities also are seeking to question an unidentified man to determine what he might know about the shooting deaths. Detectives have released a surveillance photograph of the man.

Samona Louise Ramey of Wimauma faces two counts of first-degree murder with a firearm in connection with the shooting deaths of 33-year-old Juanita Solorzano and 24-year-old Alexis Martinez.

About 11 a.m. on Jan. 24, deputies responded to 2611 14th Ave SE in Ruskin after a report was received that there were two bodies inside the residence. When deputies arrived, they entered the residence and found the bodies. The Medical Examiner's office determined both victims died of gunshot wounds.

Detectives established a possible motive and do not believe this was a random act, but have not released details.
