Fire Near FishHawk Grows to About 75 Acres

Update, 4:48 p.m.:

A brush fire in Lithia has grown to an estimated 75 acres, officials told Bay News 9.

The fire is located in a wooded area to the east of FishHawk Ranch and is moving southeast, the station reports. Authorities said no homes are in danger.

Firefighters are on the scene of a 20-acre brush fire near Lithia Pinecrest Road and Browning Road, Bay News 9 reports.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue personnel are "trying to get ahead of the fire," which is in a wooded area and moving southeast, the station reports.

"Crews are waiting for Florida Division of Forestry officials to arrive to help gain access," Bay News 9 reports.

Officials told the station there are no homes in danger.
