4 Hospitalized After School Bus Crash
The accident happened Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 301 and Cowley Road.

RIVERVIEW, FL — A school bus driver has been cited in connection with an accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 301.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a bus carrying students from Summerfield Crossings Elementary School was heading north on U.S. 301 just before 3 p.m., approaching Cowley Road. At the time, a GMC driven by Amanda Enfinger, 26, of Gibsonton was heading southbound.
The bus driver, Marilyn Kay Ray, 63, turned left into the path of the oncoming vehicle, a highway patrol report said.

A total of 32 children were on the bus at the time, the patrol said. Two children were taken to a local hospital. Troopers did not indicate the severity of injuries.
Enfinger and her 2-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to St. Joseph’s South for treatment.

Ray was cited for failure to yield, the report said.
