5 Questions with Leslie Hudson, Librarian Technical Assistant
A brief interview with Bloomingdale's librarian technical assistant Leslie Hudson.

Patch: How long have you been working for the library system?
Leslie Hudson: Ten years, but I’ve been working at Bloomingdale Regional Library for only one.
Patch: Did you go to school to become a librarian?

Leslie Hudson: No, not really. I got my degree at HCC but I started at the circulation desk and worked my way up to the title librarian technical assistant. To become a librarian you need to complete your master of librarian science degree.
Patch: How long have you been working with computers?

Leslie Hudson: Seriously for about 13 years. My husband is a computer whiz and through his channels I became computer savvy. I’m not classically trained, meaning I don’t really understand computer programming language, but I get by.
Patch: Do you blog?
Leslie Hudson: No, I don’t blog, but I do use Facebook and Twitter. It’s a good way to keep in touch with friends and family.
Patch: What is your favorite genre of literature and who is your favorite author?
Leslie Hudson: Fantasy, J.R.R. Tolken, "Lord of the Rings." When I get home I escape into his fantasy world and love every moment of it.
