72-Year-Old Lakeland Motorcyclist, Passenger Killed On U.S. 98

POLK COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a 72-year-old Lakeland motorcyclist and his passenger on U.S. 98 north of Rockridge Road.

According to troopers, on Sunday, July 29 at 4:27 p.m., Laura Belotti, 60, of Zephyrhills was traveling south on U.S. in a 2013 Ford Escape when she tried to pass another car and hit a Harley Davidson motorcycle head on.

Both the motorcycle driver, Arthur Charles Brill, 72, and his passenger, Susan Rodriguez-Rivera, 70, died at the scene.
