8 Steps to Effective Advertising

Prepare your advertising accounts and ads properly, have the who, what, where, why and how answers on paper, a clear plan of action, written down first, modified, and tweaked  who is your target audience? what are they looking for?  Where are they?  why do they want my product? vs. my competitor? How am I getting them to come to me?

Have well defined Goals written down,  alot of people love to daydream, and think if they think about it long enough, they will do it, eventually.  Every successful person i have ever known has had countless notebooks with handwritten notes, laptops are great tools too, but writing down, who, what, where, why, how, is your foundation to build on.

What your advertising looks like is very important, it must look professional.    I have my online ads done for me, by Professionals that have worked in the online marketing industry for decades.

For any business to succeed you have to work, of course, yes you know this, what is your schedule?  how many hours a day? how many days a week do you work?  Write down and stick to a disciplined schedule.

What tools do you need to advertise with? Again, write this down, you have to have a realistic schedule, and be consistent.

Referrals are key to your business, there are many businesses today, that network with one another online and advertise with one another.  Its very important you find your "circle of people"  match yourself with like minded people, not just their businesses.  Its important to be genuine here, theres no success in being phoney, just for monetary means.  Sincerity is key.

Now, with all these steps taken, you have placed your well written ads properly.   Are you keeping track of where you and your company are?  Whats working? whats not working?   Now that its been a week, a month, whatever amount of time you have given to each avenue of advertising, go back and look at your advertising.   are the ads well written?  (if you are doing your own) are they effective, are they giving you results?

finally, knowledge is power, know your advertising avenues, how they work.
