A 92-year-old woman was killed Sunday morning while driving a golf cart through the intersection of State Road 674 and Stoneham Drive.

SUN CITY CENTER, FL — A 92-year-old woman was killed Sunday morning while driving a golf cart through the intersection of State Road 674 and Stoneham Drive.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:16 a.m., the 92-year-old woman driving a golf cart north on Stoneham Drive at SR 674 when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 22-year-old Ruskin man traveling east on SR 674.

Troopers said the elderly woman was taken to the hospital where she died.
