Area Teen Shot in the Leg During Fight, Tampa Police Say

A Brandon 14-year-old was one of two teens found with non-life threatening shooting injuries in the parking lot of a Central Tampa Dunkin' Donuts.

An area boy was one of two teenagers shot in the leg during a fight Thursday evening in a Central Tampa Dunkin' Donuts parking lot, police said.

Calvin J. Williams, 14, of 3221 Buckrun Dr. in Brandon, and Deion S. Washington, 16, of 3415 E. Lambright St. in Tampa, both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Tampa General Hospital, according to Tampa Police.

Police said they responded to a call of a fight involving several teens in the area of North 36th Street and East Mohawk Avenue shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29. They found the two teen victims in the parking lot of the Dunkin' Donuts at 3512 E. Hillsborough Ave.

Suspects had not yet been identified, police said, and the investigation is ongoing.
