Alice VS... The Death of Twinkie

With the Twinkie Factory shutting down, many are turning reflective-

This week, I heard of Twinkie's demise
and an audible sob came from my butt and my thighs
With it's sponge-like cake and creamy filling
out of my FAT JEANS, I was a spillin'

With a shelf life half a century long
it was the stuff of legend
it was the stuff of song

Now, union workers strike
and could bring Twinkie to an end
A scab I would become
to have cream filling again

In a nation where obesity rules
for Twinkies and Ding-Dongs
the entire populations drools

Deep fried, covered in powder
it has become the new crack
for all of us oldies
my elastic is now slack

So Twinkie, Dear Twinkie
I bid you adieu
and to the store I hasten
to get the last few
boxes that will last me
until the next delicious craze
find me fetal, in a corner
covered in sponge cake and glaze
