Benefits of a Multi-Vitamin

With a plethora of choices and conflicting information; what are the benefits of a multi-vitamin?

Lately, there seems to be great debate about whether or not a multi-vitamin
is a worth while addition to your diet. Unfortunately, there are a few
variables. However, the answer can be quite simple. I am going to address some
of the reasons people choose NOT to use a multi.

"There are no discernable
benefits for a multi-vitamin." Yes, its true that more than
likely, after two weeks/months/years of taking a multi you won't all of a
sudden have the energy to climb Mount Everest or swim the English
channel. HOWEVER, you will be giving your body a consistent
regimen of the vitamins and minerals which will help support many of the
cellular functions you need on a daily basis.

"You lose everything (all the vitamins/minerals) when you go to the
restroom, so what's the point!" Water soluble
products will be disposed of when you use the restroom. HOWEVER, if you are
buying a high quality and tested multi; you should have already been able to
absorb most of the usable vitamins/minerals.

"Multi-vitamins don't contain enough of any of the vitamin/minerals to
make a difference!" Multi-vitamins are
designed to SUPPORT the vitamins and minerals you are obtaining from your diet.
Yes, some people may need therapeutic levels of vitamins/minerals, which is why
many vitamins/minerals are also available individually in higher
concentrations.

Multi-vitamins may not be a "wonder drug"; however if you use a
high quality supplement on a consistent basis, you can help support your bodies
daily functions.
