Judicial Corruption

Activist judges destroying our constitution

I think that it will be very hard to get our country back on a path to being a constitutional republic until we get the activist federal judges out of the system, and give some credibility back to our judicial system.

This is no easy task, and will take quite some time with one receiving the title for life after being appointed by a sitting president.

The trend that I am referring to within our court system is that of partisan politics, and legislation coming not from Congress, but from the bench.

These judges are not there to interpret the Constitution, as some say. They are there to uphold and defend the Constitution, and their decision is based on our Constitution and the rule of law, not a Republican or Democrat ideology.

By using the word "interpret," you are giving the impression that their decisions are not being made objectively, but with a subjective bias that makes it difficult for them to remain true to the orginal document.

Judges now draw from "personal experience" and, in some cases, refer to international law. There have even been some that have gone so far as to allow shariah law to be used.

How has our judicial system become so polarized? They are all supposedly using the same document to render decisions, but, in the end, always seem to be at odds with each other.

The recent healthcare law is a good example. A liberal court says "Oh, it's OK to force people to buy a product," but the conservative court says, "That is unconstitutional."

I don't think that our founding fathers ever dreamed that it would come to this. They had vision, and they were able to forsee many possible threats to the republic, and had solutions in place.

So, 2012 is not going to be the end of this government corruption; it will only be the beginning. Some of those that are part of the corruption cannot be voted out. Food for thought?
