
Come celebrate the end of summer at the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center, 405 Beverly Blvd., as it hosts the 2013 Cannonballapalooza! Aug. 17 from 6 to 10 p.m.
The celebration will include the cannonball competition, several of Brandon’s favorite food trucks, a beverage tent and a DJ.
The event is free for anyone in our community who would like to enjoy a relaxing swim with the family, hear some great music and partake in some great food and beverages.

But, for those who dare, our cannonball competition has several categories: singles, tandems, trick cannonballs, the ultimate bellyflop and the 5-meter Tower of Power, all for age groups 10 and Under, 11 to 14, and ages 15 and up.
The fee is based on singles, a team of two or a team of four. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

BSAC will start the event with Olympic-style opening ceremonies, and the Tampa Bay Times’ Ernest Hooper has agreed to provide the ESPN sports commentary as he receives results and feedback from our panel of local celebrity judges.
Awards will be given for Best Team Name, Best Dressed, Best Overall Style, Best Splash Factor and Overall Best Cannonball.
