Camp Circle of Love Still Accepting Applications for Weekend Children's Grief Camp

Camp
Circle of Love, a weekend camp for children who have experienced the death of a
loved one, is still accepting applications for this year’s camp, Friday, April 25
to Sunday, April 27, at the Lakewood Retreat Center in Brooksville.

The
camp, now in its 22nd year, is sponsored by LifePath Hospice and is
open to all children in Hillsborough County, ages 6 to 16, who have recently
experienced the loss of a loved one.

Camp
Circle of Love combines healing with fun, letting children know that after
suffering a loss, life sill has a lot to offer them. At camp, grieving children
can share their feelings with others and remember their loved ones while
participating in activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, and team sports.
One of the most moving events is a Saturday evening memorial service designed
to provide healing and closure opportunities for the campers.
